James E. Kitchel, is an accomplished serial entrepreneur who has founded or co-founded fifteen companies since 1972, four of which he took public: Electromedics, Inc, (1974), the inventor of the electronic digital thermometer and other medical devices; Marine Nutritional Systems, Inc. (1977), a pioneer in the technology of shellfish farming; Advanced Monitoring Systems, Inc. (1980), inventor of ‘smart pig’ technology to monitor petroleum pipelines for corrosion and leaks; and Core Petroleum, Inc. (1985), an oil and gas production and exploration company. He has assisted numerous other start-ups with securing venture capital and successful IPO's. Since 1985 he has successfully completed six major industry consolidations: (EnTransCo, Inc. (1986-87), natural gas gathering systems and privately owned pipelines; Northern Outfitters, Inc. (1988-90), manufacturers of clothing and footwear; Back-In-A-Flash, Inc. (1993-94), a chain of 1- Hr. photo stores; HomeTech, Inc. (1996-97), home medical equipment dealers in California; CareTrak, Inc. (1998-2000), home medical equipment dealers in Texas and Florida; and Axio Financial Services, Inc. (2002-present), mortgage banking companies. He currently serves as Board Chairman of both EquiPoint Financial Services, Inc. and Axio Insurance Services, Inc.  He also serves the following non-profit organizations: Sacramento Angels, Inc. as Board Chairman and CEO; the Golden Capital Network, Inc. as Board member and Chair of the Events Committee; and the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance, Inc.(SARTA) as Board member and Chair of the Events Committee. He is an internationally recognized public speaker on entreprenuerism, capital formation, IPO's and angel investing, with stories about him or his accomplishments appearing in numerous national magazines, newspapers, radio and TV shows. Mr. Kitchel served in the US Army (1966-69) and he earned a bachelors Degree (Pre-Med major) from Brigham Young University in 1972.
