 Daniel Helsten

Daniel R. Helsten
Vice President, Research

Mr. Helsten has international business experience, having lived, traveled or worked in 18 countries.  He speaks several languages and is fluent in English, Spanish and Cantonese (Chinese).  He received his high school education in Santiago, Chile where he received an International Baccalaureate Diploma (with Honors).  He attended Carnegie-Mellon University (1992-1993) and the University of Utah (1998-1999) where he earned a B.S. degree in Economics.  He was awarded a National Scholar Fellowship in Economics at University of California-Irvine (1999-2001), and completed two years of coursework toward a Doctorate in Economics.  He worked in Hong Kong for two years (1995-1997) serving as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of an international non-profit organization.
